novel: new or unusual in an interesting way.

It’s a goal whenever I’m designing anything. To show something in a different light or use something in an unexpected way.

It’s also a sweet nod to my first love of literature. I chose English as a major in college because I loved to read and at the time that seemed like as good a reason as any.

I followed that BA in English with Interior Design School and a Design Assistant position with a very respected design studio in Newport Beach, California. It was there that I found what I truly wanted to do for all the rest of my days - create beautiful surroundings. Take the pictures in my head that were conjured up when reading books and bring them to life. Transform a space to evoke a feeling in the person who steps into it. Throw some novel ideas on the wall and see what sticks...
